Scott Cuthbert wins PFA Community Champion Award

11 May 2021

Captain Scott Cuthbert has been named Stevenage FC PFA Community Champion for 2020/21, for his work within the community over the past year...

By leading the way with his involvement in the Coronavirus Community Careline last year, skipper Scott Cuthbert has been an integral part of bringing the local community closer to the Club.

His impressive commitment to representing the Club in a positive light through Stevenage FC Foundation's programmes and initiatives, whilst also engaging with the younger generation at the Academy proves why Scott Cuthbert was chosen as the Club's 2020/21 Community Champion.

"I am absolutely delighted", Cuthbert said. "It is a massive part of being a Club in these division that you have to be a part of the community. You have to reach out to everyone and at the end of the day we are a community based Club.

When the pandemic hit, there was an opportunity there for the Club to do something positive within the Community. I was fortunate enough to be a part of that. It was good to see parts of Stevenage that I have never seen before.

It was massive for the Club to emphasise how important the community is. The Club have been brilliant and I think they are going to continue. That is something the Manager is big on as well - he wants the community to feel part of the Football Club".
