The referee has been appointed Match Referee for fifteen EFL matches so far this campaign, handing out a total of 71 yellow cards as well as two reds. In the Sky Bet League Two contest between Bristol Rovers and Carlisle last month, Breakspear handed out ten yellow cards in one game. His last match as referee in the Papa John’s Trophy was a 1-1 draw between Northampton Town and Walsall.
Breakspear’s most recent Stevenage fixture was in November 2020 when Alex Revell’s men travelled to Colchester United and suffered a 3-1 defeat. The referee handed out four yellow cards that day.
Breakspear will be joined by Assistants Joseph Stokes and Louis Marks with Kirsty Dowle as Fourth Official.
