Officials: Young appointed for MK Dons fixture

16 November 2021

Alan Young has been appointed Match Referee for tonight’s Emirates FA Cup First Round replay between Stevenage and MK Dons at The Lamex Stadium…

The referee has taken charge of just three games so far this campaign, two in the Papa John’s Trophy and one in Sky Bet League Two. Most recently, he officiated in Mansfield Town’s 6-3 win at home to Newcastle Under 21s last Tuesday, after being appointed for Leyton Orient’s 5-0 victory against Hartlepool in Sky Bet League Two just three days before. Across the three games he has refereed so far this season, Young has handed out fifteen yellow cards with his red remaining in his pocket.

His most recent Stevenage fixture was Boro’s 0-0 draw away to Leyton Orient in March of this year. Four yellow cards were handed out in that game, including one for left back Ben Coker.

Young will be joined by Assistants Daniel Bonneywell and Garry Maskell with Christopher Kidd as Fourth Official.
