Managed by Simon Weaver, Harrogate Town have started their second ever season in the English Football League remarkably; winning four games, drawing three and only losing once thus far. Top scorer Luke Armstrong has been nothing but clinical in front of goal this campaign, netting six goals in eight league appearances.
Last season was the first ever campaign in professional football for the Yorkshire club, and found themselves clear of relegation by twelve points. This season, they appear to be strong contenders for promotion and a side not to be underestimated.
Before the 2020/21 season, Boro had never met Harrogate in a competitive fixture, therefore the two sides have only faced each other twice in history. In Harrogate the scoreline was 0-0, but at The Lamex Stadium a superb finish by Elliott List meant that Stevenage picked up a 1-0 victory. A win for Harrogate this Saturday would be the first in the club’s history against Boro.
Harrogate Town play their games at The EnviroVent Stadium which holds a capacity of 5,000, including 1,000 seats. Following their promotion to the EFL in 2020, a grass pitch was installed replacing the existing 3G pitch.
Wetherby Road is based adjacent to Harrogate District Hospital on the A661, approximately 1.25 miles east of Harrogate Town Centre.
Visiting by train takes you to Harrogate Station served by Northern Rail, and is based near to the town centre. Walking from there, across the Stray and to the ground takes around 20 minutes.
There is no parking inside the EnviroVent Stadium but if fans are choosing to drive they may park at Cedar Court Hotel on Park Parade HG1 5AH, for £5 per vehicle on a first come first served basis.
Anyone wishing to park at Cedar Court Hotel, which is a five minute walk from the ground, must enter their vehicle details and card details on the iPads in reception.
The Stevenage FC Supporters Association coach will be departing The Lamex Stadium at 9.30am on the day of the game, so please ensure to arrive with time to spare in order to confirm a scheduled departure. Tickets cost £30 (£25 concessions) for SA members and £35 (£30 concessions) for non-members.
To book a seat, please call John Carroll on 01438 814285 between 6pm-9pm or visit www.sfcsa.co.uk/home/travel and book online.
