The world’s first vegan club, Forest Green Rovers, have started their fifth Sky Bet League Two campaign in their history exceptionally well as they currently find themselves top of the table. Head Coach, Rob Edwards, picked up last month’s Manager of the Month award along with former Boro Loanee, Matty Stevens, winning Player of the Month after scoring five in five for Rovers.
In their last three campaigns, Forest Green have secured a spot in the League Two Play Offs twice but fell short on both occasions. This season, however, it is safe to say they are one of favourites for promotion after winning five of their first seven league games.
Boro and The Green Devils are extremely familiar with each other, having faced each 35 times, mostly in non-league contests. Stevenage have won 14 out of those 35, with Forest Green only winning eight and the sides drawing 13 times. The last time the two teams battled it out, Boro came out on top winning 3-0 at home in March earlier this year.
