Karl Davy To Step Down As Women’s Manager

15 September 2021

Stevenage FC Women has today accepted the resignation of Karl Davy from his role as First Team Manager...

On his departure Karl Davy said, “This has been a tough decision as I’ve worked for many years for the opportunity to work in the FAWNL and I thank Dani, Dave and Joe for giving me that opportunity".

“The goal was to start a project and build for the future and I believe we have begun that journey but unfortunately due to a change in personal circumstances I cannot give it the time and commitment I feel it needs. I have no doubt the Club is moving the right direction and that current results do not reflect the progress behind the scenes and the ability of the current squad. I’d like to with everyone at the Club nothing but success moving forward and want to thank everyone, staff, players and fans for their support during my time at Stevenage FC Women”.

Women’s Team General Manager, Dani Toyn added “On behalf of all associated with the Club, we’d like to thank Karl for everything he has done to push the team forward both on and off the pitch during his time with us. We wish him every success with his next step"

“With Karl we began a project to establish Stevenage FC Women as a vibrant, positive Club and we now look ahead to finding the correct replacement to continue what we’ve started”.

The Club thanks First Team Coach Michael Brown who will also depart alongside Davy.

Fadi Mazloum will take temporary charge of training and matches with the support of both Anthony Murray and David Perry in the interim.
