Andy Davies has been appointed Match Referee for Stevenage’s crucial fixture this weekend at home to Oldham Athletic in Sky Bet League Two…
Davies is well known for being the only referee in the EFL to have previously played for a professional football team. So far this season, he has overseen twenty-eight EFL fixtures, mostly in The Championship.
He has dished out seventy-nine yellow cards this campaign along with two reds, including one each for Swansea and Bristol City. The last time Davies refereed a Stevenage fixture was back in 2015 as Boro fell to a 1-0 defeat to Carlisle at The Lamex in Sky Bet League Two.
Davies will be joined by Assistants Nicholas Cooper and James Wilson with Carl Brook as Fourth Official.
