Boro backing Level Playing Field vs Bristol Rovers

14 February 2022

Stevenage Football Club is proud to support Level Playing Field on Saturday 19th February 2022 for our fixture against Bristol Rovers in Sky Bet League Two...

Disability charity Level Playing Field are celebrating their 18th ‘Weeks of Action’ campaign this February and March, which aims to showcase the good work being done by clubs and organisations to improve accessibility and inclusion across all sports.

This year’s theme celebrates the return of fans after stadiums reopened after the suspension of live sport.

To support the campaign, Stevenage FC are getting involved by helping our disabled supporters learn about Level Playing Field and understand what they do, what their aims are to improve accessibility and inclusion, and how they can assist disabled fans.

We welcome supporters of all disabilities and are committed to improving access and facilities at The Lamex Stadium. This has been aided by the building of the North Stand, which includes a raised platform wheelchair disabled section, accessible toilets, refreshments and parking spaces around the stadium.

To help celebrate the LPF Weeks of Action, we have offered free match tickets to students from The Valley and Lonsdale schools, as well as members of Learning Disability Day Service at Leyden House.

Our VIP guests will be welcomed by our very own Disability Supporter Liaison Officer (DSLO) Alex Potter, who works with the Club to ensure best practice in the accessibility of our stadium, assistance to those supporters with disability requirements and to help promote inclusivity and equality.

Finally, the Stevenage starting eleven will wear Level Playing Field warm-up tops ahead of kick-off, while First Team Manager Paul Tisdale will be sporting a LPF pin badge.

Get involved in the Weeks of Action campaign by posting your messages of support on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #WeeksOfAction. Find out more by visiting www.levelplayingfield.org.uk.
