Officials: Lewis appointed for Crawley fixture

3 February 2022

Robert Lewis has been appointed Match Referee for Stevenage’s trip to Crawley Town this weekend in Sky Bet League Two…

The referee is one of the most experienced in the EFL, first officiating in League Two in 2005. Additionally, Lewis was a referee in the inaugural Premier League Campaign back in 1992, handing out just twenty-two yellow cards and two reds in sixteen games. So far this season, he has overseen nineteen EFL fixtures, dishing out sixty-three yellow cards with just the one red.

Lewis was match referee in Boro’s first ever Football League victory, as the side won 3-1 at home to Stockport County. Charlie Griffin and Michael Bostwick were the Stevenage goal scorers on the day and two yellow cards were issued.

Lewis will be joined by Assistants James Vallance and Steven Plane with Michael Begley as Fourth Official.
