Michael Bostwick returns to Stevenage

4 January 2022

Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with Burton Albion for the loan signing of Michael Bostwick until the end of the season…

The 33-year-old, who is equally comfortable at centre back and midfield, made over 200 appearances for Stevenage and was a leading figure in the team that clinched back-to-back promotions from the Conference to League One in 2011.

After joining Championship side Peterborough United from Stevenage for a significant undisclosed fee, Bostwick went on to make over 200 appearances in the Championship and League One. Spells afterwards at Lincoln City and Burton Albion bring his EFL appearance tally to just shy of 500.

Michael Bostwick becomes Paul Tisdale’s fourth signing of the January transfer window after goalkeeper Christy Pym, defender Luke O’Neill and midfielder Ed Upson.
