Chris Ross appointed as COO

25 June 2022

Stevenage Football Club has appointed Chris Ross as its new Chief Operating Officer - responsible for the day-to-day running of the Club as part of a re-structure, starting from July 1st…

Chris was CEO last season at Greenock Morton Football Club in the Scottish Championship and brings a wealth of experience of football and commercial matters, having also recently completed a football business course with the EFL Trust.

Chairman Phil Wallace said, “Chris has the commercial background and experience of running a football club, that is our first requirement for the job. He’s young and talented, with great enthusiasm and a strong work ethic”.

“Importantly, he understands that the Board’s definition of success in this role is to unite an efficient administration team and create the family feel that we value in our Club. Chris understands this and we are delighted to give him the opportunity to start a new career in English football”.

He continued, “Our sincere thanks go to Dominic Jordan for his short time with us as CEO. This re-structure is the start of a new season and a new era for Stevenage FC. I will work closely with Chris and everyone at the Club over the coming months – hopefully this can be the start of a new period of success on the pitch and across all areas of our Club, as we look to move up the leagues”.

Chris Ross added, “I feel proud to have been given the chance to lead the day-to-day running of Stevenage Football Club as the COO. The infrastructure at the football club is beyond impressive. I’m looking forward to investing all my efforts & learning into helping the Club move in a positive direction”.
