Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with attacker Jordan Roberts…
The 28-year-old, who operates primarily as a winger, joins Stevenage following spells at Hearts and Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.
After making his professional debut in 2012, Roberts’ form at Crawley Town earned him a move to Championship side Ipswich Town in 2018. Loan spells at Lincoln City and Steve Evans’ Gillingham ensued before moving north to Scotland in August 2020.
“I’m looking forward to working with the manager again”, said Jordan Roberts. “I find that he gets the best out of me and gives me the freedom and opportunity to express myself – as a player, that’s all you want.
I’m creative, I’ll work hard and give my all to the team. I’ll add goals and assists and if that builds up, hopefully we’ll go on to have a good season. We’ll be back to work soon, back in there with a new group, and I’m raring to go already”.
Jordan Roberts becomes Steve Evans’ seventh signing of the summer transfer window so far, and makes it three new additions in three days following the signings of Dean Campbell and Max Clark earlier this week.
