Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with Fulham FC for the loan signing of Taye Ashby-Hammond…
The 23-year-old goalkeeper joins for the 2022/23 campaign from the Premier League side after impressing on loan at Boreham Wood last campaign, making 16 clean sheets in 29 appearances and playing an integral part in the National League team’s impressive run to the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.
“I am really excited to get going”, said Ashby-Hammond upon signing. “There’s a good group of lads here, and my conversations with the manager have been positive. To get my first step into the football league is a challenge that I need to face, and I’m ready for it.
I learnt and developed a lot as a player last season, and I’m looking forward to continuing that with Stevenage”.
Taye Ashby-Hammond will compete with fellow stopper Aaron Chapman for the number one spot in goal, becoming Steve Evans’ ninth new signing as the manager continues to build an ambitious squad ahead of the 2022/23 season.
