The Lamex Stadium to go cashless

24 March 2022

Stevenage Football Club advises supporters that The Lamex Stadium will begin its cashless transition from the 2022/23 season...

Offering an improved supporter experience all-round at The Lamex Stadium, the Club will no longer accept coins or notes as payment at its internal refreshment facilities, helping increase the speed of service and reduce queues on a matchday.

Only card and smartphone payment methods will be accepted as a form of payment. Additionally, moving to a cashless venue will also ensure the health and safety of supporters and staff members.

Tea bars on matchday will continue to operate both cash and card sales until the end of the current campaign and will move to cashless from the beginning of the 2022/23 season.

The Club understands that there are supporters who prefer or can only pay in cash, so we will continue to offer a provision at the stadium during the transition.

Supporters' Association volunteers will continue to accept cash for entries into the 50/50 Matchday Draw until further notice.
