Stevenage Stands with Ukraine

11 March 2022

Everyone at Stevenage Football Club stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Ukraine impacted by recent events...

Ahead of tomorrow’s home fixture against Newport County, the Club and Stevenage FC Foundation are urging supporters to support local causes that are working tirelessly to provide aid and support to those impacted by the ongoing conflict and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

Supporters and local residents can do this either by donating to the British Red Cross DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal or text EFL to 70141 to give £10.*

*Texts costs £10 + one standard message. The British Red Cross will receive 100%. For full T&Cs visit www.redcross.org.uk/terms.

At a local level, the Club has been working to support Stevenage Stands With Ukraine who are organising an aid collection event at The Nobel School on Saturday 12th March (10am-2pm). Click here for more information about the event.

The Club would like to thank Ben and his team at HBC Logistics who have responded to our call for support and are providing transport for the collected items to be transported to the depot for sorting, before they are sent out to Ukraine.

Stevenage FC Foundation CEO, Joe Goude said, “We would like to thank Natalie, Victoria and Kayleigh for their efforts in coordinating this amazing local initiative in our town and to Ben and his team for providing their resource free of charge to make it possible for even more items to be collected and transported to those that need it most. The Club and Foundation will continue to work with everyone that is doing anything they can to support the people of Ukraine, and show them that we stand with them".
