Michael Bostwick signs permanent Boro deal

23 May 2022

Stevenage Football Club confirms the signing of Michael Bostwick on a permanent contract…

The 34-year-old midfielder becomes Steve Evans’ first signing of the summer, following his loan spell at The Lamex Stadium from Burton Albion in the second half of last season.

Bostwick made fourteen appearances for Stevenage after signing temporarily in January and played a key part in the Club’s League Two survival last campaign, adding to the 206 appearances the midfielder made during his successful first spell at the Club between 2008 to 2012.

“I enjoyed being here last season”, said Bostwick. “When the gaffer came in we picked up, and now I’m already excited about next season”.

“Stevenage has always been a special club with great memories since my first time here. Last year we did well in the end with some good performances, and now I want to keep building and take the Club back to where it should be”.

After the signing of Michael Bostwick, subject to FA and EFL approval, Steve Evans’ recruitment has now begun ahead of the 2022/23 Sky Bet League Two season. Supporters can get a first glimpse at their new look Boro on our pre-season trip to Jersey, with ticket available to purchase in early June.
