An estimated 1,800 children in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every year, with around 240 deaths annually.

Six-year-old Hugh Menai-Davis, from Hertford, rang the bell at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in May 2021 after reaching the end of his six-month treatment in the battle against a rare an aggressive form of cancer. When he returned home, he celebrated his sixth birthday with friends and family at the end of August.

But the cancer returned. Hugh’s parents were told that their little boy was dying and there was nothing that could be done. Hugh died in September 2021.

Seven months after his little boy’s death, Ceri Menai-Davis is fighting to honour Hugh’s legacy. ‘It’s Never You’ was launched to support parents of children with cancer.

‘A Match for Hugh’ will take place on Sunday 18th September 2022, the first anniversary of Hugh’s death.

Match tickets are now available from www.borotickets.co.uk. For hospitality enquiries, email clivea@stevenagefc.com or call 01438 223223.
