After being held to a 1-1 draw away to Hartlepool on Easter Monday, Boro sit fifth in the league table and are level on points with the third automatic promotion spot, with a game in hand.

AFC Wimbledon suffered relegation at the end of last season and returned to Sky Bet League Two for the first time in six years. The Dons have struggled for form this campaign, as they currently sit seventeenth in the table after picking up eleven wins from forty-two league matches.
The Southwest London side have won just one of their last fifteen outings but are seemingly clear of relegation, as they have a nine-point advantage over the drop zone. The Dons were extremely unlucky not to pick up points on Easter Monday as they welcomed Salford City to the capital. The hosts took the lead on two occasions, but an injury-time brace from Callum Hendry meant that Salford escaped with a dramatic 3-2 victory.
Johnnie Jackson took over as AFC Wimbledon boss in May 2022 following the club’s relegation to the fourth tier. Before that, Jackson had two caretaker spells at Charlton Athletic, the club he made roughly 300 appearances for as a player before retiring.
Boro and The Dons have met on eleven occasions in the past with tomorrow’s hosts picking up seven wins, two draws and two losses from previous meetings. The first season in which these two clubs would meet was the 2009/10 Conference campaign. In the away fixture, Boro picked up an impressive 3-0 victory, with Mark Roberts, Lawrie Wilson and Eddie Odhiambo getting the goals.

This season’s reverse fixture went in Boro’s favour as three second half goals completed a 3-2 comeback victory at the Cherry Red Records Stadium.
James Bell has been appointed as Match Referee for tomorrow’s fixture, with Adrian Tranter and Daniel Bonneywell as Assistants, and Jason Richardson as Fourth Official.
