Stevenage Football Club & Foundation are proud to be participating in the world’s biggest football campaign to tackle climate change – the Green Football Weekend…
Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Bradford City will be the Club’s designated Green Football Weekend game, with supporters encouraged to make climate-friendly choices, both in their day-to-day and matchday routines.
As part of the initiative, supporters are encouraged to register their ‘Green Goals’ online at pledgeball2.org. From eating a veggie meal, to walking & cycling instead of driving, to turning down the heating by one degree, every green goal counts!
Alongside supporters, the Club & Stevenage FC Foundation continue to take steps in minimising its environmental impacts across all operations.
The Lamex Stadium has recently had green recycling bins installed around its perimeter for plastic bottles on matchdays, as well as launching its very own branded reusable cup that supporters can pick up from the stadium for just £2.
Stevenage Football Club also looks forward to welcoming representatives from Stevenage Borough Council & Hertfordshire County Council to this fixture.
