Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with Norwich City for the loan signing of Jonathan Tomkinson until the end of the season…
The young defender becomes Steve Evans’ third new recruit of the January transfer window, joining on a temporary basis having made First Team appearances for Norwich City in the Sky Bet Championship & Carabao Cup this season.
Natural at centre back and comfortable in either full-back position, Tomkinson joins the squad travelling north today ahead of tomorrow’s fixture at Harrogate Town.
“Jonathan is a big, strong and decisive defender”, said manager Steve Evans. “By being able to play anywhere across the defence, he adds fierce competition to some already very talented players.
We tried to sign JT in the summer when we brought in Saxon Earley and without doubt, he is of the same standard. He needs to get focused in his work and help play a part in our ambitions for the season.
