Stevenage Football Club has agreed terms with Coventry City for the loan signing of Josh Reid until the end of the season…
The 20-year-old left-back joins the Boro on a temporary basis from Championship side Coventry City, following his move from Scottish Premiership side Ross County in 2021.
“Josh will provide great competition for Max Clark for a place in our starting eleven”, said manager Steve Evans. “He is young, strong, competitive and has a good left foot. I have watched him several times playing in the Scottish Premier League and that led to a move south to join Coventry City.
Coventry City boss Mark Robins has spoken highly of Josh’s capabilities, as did players Kyle McFadzean and Matty Godden - both have played for me and know what I want.
It’s time for the lad to get his career in England up and running. We are delighted to get this done”.
The Scotland Under 21 international becomes Steve Evans’ fifth new signing of the January transfer window, following the additions of Jake Forster-Caskey, Daryl Horgan, Jonathan Tomkinson and Josh March.
