After joining in May 2022, Club captain Piergianni led Stevenage to promotion to the third tier of English football for the first time in twelve years after finishing as runners-up in Sky Bet League Two.
The skipper’s performances last campaign earned his inclusion in the league’s Team of the Season, as well as being nominated for both the EFL and PFA League Two Player of the Season awards.
Stevenage’s 2022/23 Player of the Year also finished the season as the Club’s joint-fourth top goal scorer, netting an impressive seven times from centre-back.
