Manager Steve Evans discusses his thoughts on our 2023/24 fixtures…
The Gaffer said, “There is no doubt that it is an exciting day when you see our fixtures for League One in the season ahead.
“A tough start to the new campaign for me with four from the first six matches away from home. The quality of each of those opponents will ensure we are fully tested.
“Everyone looks at the festive period and it really is so exciting. Barnsley and Portsmouth away will be hugely exciting for our supporters - big clubs with big supports. Between those fixtures we will have a packed Lamex Stadium for the visits of Northampton Town and Cambridge United respectively.
“On the final day we will be at home in front of our supporters. They are great days where we also get the chance to thank our supporters for the most fantastic support”.
Speaking about the Carabao Cup draw, Steve Evans said “It is an exciting cup draw. Watford are a fantastic football club, top quality players, a new Head Coach with fans who will come here in big numbers.
“In reality it is a huge challenge for us - but we will be prepared for that in every aspect”
