Boro’ are playing in League One for the first time in nine years and have recorded the best-ever start to the division for a promoted team.
With impressive wins against Northampton Town, Cambridge United, Shrewsbury Town and Leyton Orient, Stevenage have picked up an unprecedented thirteen points from their first six games.
This Saturday, Steve Evans’ men host Carlisle United with the potential to go top of League One for the first time in the Club’s history.
“It is very early in the season to name Saturday a big match, but it certainly is”, said the nine-time promotion winner.
“I have heard people saying that we cannot continue being at the top end of League One given the size of other clubs in the division and their team’s resources.
“I have every confidence in my players and staff. Our supporters have been awesome, but in reality, we need some help from the whole town. This community is a great place to be, so help us make it better”.
With no fixtures in the Premier League or Championship this weekend due to the International Break, this Saturday is the perfect opportunity to watch live, local football on your doorstep.
Manager Steve Evans added, “All those Arsenal and Spurs fans who live local, you have no football on Saturday, so why not get to The Lamex Stadium on Saturday and help the football club in your town?
“We play a very decent team in Carlisle United, and I will speak about them to the press later in the week.
“There is every reason to be with us. Bring the kids, bring the family. This is your community, and together, we can make it better.
“Hopefully, I will see you here on Saturday".
