Brooks began her career for Stevenage in goal, having previously played for Hitchin Belles, Enfield Town and Luton Town for eight appearances. Her debut came for Boro against AFC Basildon in December 2019, however the game – which was lost 5-4 – is one of many stricken from the record due to the season being voided for COVID. The following year saw COVID hamper football once more, meaning Brooks’ official debut was now in the year of 2021 as Boro were defeated 6-0 by Queens Park Rangers in a season that would prove to be Boro’s last in the WNL South East Division One. It would also prove to be Brooks’ last as a goalkeeper as an injury sustained against AFC Wimbledon would see her have to hang up her gloves and convert to a left back – which she did admirably in the last game of the season for Stevenage Development squad against MK Dons. Her eleven appearances as a goalkeeper have been added to since with her second season as a defender and in 2022 Grace was awarded the Development Team Goal of the Season and Player of the Season, following a goal from the halfway line against Hashtag United Reserves.
