Team news:

The squad will be assessed today as to who has made it through unscathed from Saturday so the status of the players involved is still unknown. Simon Walton is due to miss out after picking up a hamstring injury against Plymouth but Chris Whelpdale may be in contention to make the squad again after missing out the last two games with a groin strain.

View from the dressing room:

GW spoke about facing Exeter after the 1-1 draw with Cambridge on Saturday…

“They had a good win today (Saturday) and they are a good outfit. We saw them play some very good football at our place; they are obviously at home and have that big St James Park pitch which is a nice surface to play on.

“It’s another job to do, another tough job to do. They’re a good side, well managed, good playing personnel. There are no easy games in this league, or any league and we know we will have to play very well to win the three points.”

The story so far…

Back-to-back wins have reignited talk of reaching the play-offs for Exeter fans who are now six points away, although boss Paul Tisdale has played down these hopes saying they are “not close” to reaching the post-season. An awful 2015 has seen Exeter move down into a mid-table tussle as prior to their recent victories the Grecians had only won one in ten.

Recent form

Last time we met:

Boro had to dig in for a hard earned win against Exeter back in December, as a late Charlie Lee goal was enough to seal the three points. In a game where Exeter enjoyed most of the ball, Stevenage were well drilled and resilient out of possession and restricted the Grecians to very little in front of goal.

Betting with Sky Bet:

Stevenage are slight underdogs on Saturday, 7/4 to win with official league sponsors, Sky Bet.

Our last two away games have ended in a score draw; 1-1, 2-2 or 3-3 is available at 3/1.

Don't forget, for every pound you bet with Sky Bet, you’ll earn a Transfer Fund Token giving you a chance of winning £5,000 for yourself and £250,000 for us to spend on players in the Sky Bet Transfer Fund.
