So far this campaign, he has been appointed for fifteen fixtures, dishing out fifty-five yellow cards and three reds. His most recent Papa John’s Trophy tie was between Leyton Orient and Charlton Athletic in the group stages, in which a red card was handed out, along with three yellows.
The last time Purkiss took charge of a Stevenage fixture was earlier this season as Port Vale came to The Lamex for a gruelling 1-1 draw in Sky Bet League Two. Port Vale received three yellow cards on the day.
